History

Ovr Actv Imagination is an organization formed in direct response to the growing number of people, especially millennials who feel despondent in this ever changing technological society. Ovr Actv Imagination offers any and every one the opportunity to have their innovative ideas heard and explored. Ovr Actv will create sustainable solutions to craft a future where technology adapts to the natural world

Ovr Actv Imagination is positioned to be inclusive of anyone who has a few spare hours a week to dedicate to innovation exploration. As the movement grows, Ovr Actv plans to implement a series of programs that focus on team developed projects. A portion of the projects produced will be the byproduct of Ideation Consults.

With each new phase in development, Ovr Actv Imagination will grow its engineering and Ideation network. Prospective consultants are given the freedom to decide when and how long they will work. Consultants will also have the ability to try on different hats within and outside their wheelhouse.

Dane'e Patten-Speight

Dane’e Patten-Speight grew up in Southeast, Washington, D.C., and is currently studying at Virginia State University, completing her Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Technology. Dane’e has submerged herself in the engineering and technology culture by engaging with associations such as SWE and NASBE, attending career fairs meeting with heads of leading engineering firms and research intuitions. Dane’e partook in many unique opportunities, gaining inimitable experiences; Electrical engineers are scarce and Electrical Engineering Technologist are even more scarce. While attending Virginia State University Dane’e has forged her way to an opportunity to work on the SAE car at Virginia State University; meeting the lead designer and president on the University’s Formula One Race Car design team, Nicole Adia Jefferson.

Dane’e worked as Research & Development Intern for Boston Scientific, and was selected for a rare opportunity to work as an Engineer’s Apprentice at Dominion Power of Virginia. Dane’e found herself collaborating with Nicole Adia Jefferson and Britton Bean to support, promote, and produce Clean-tech, tinkering, alternative energy, and so much more. Dane’e is a senior at Virginia State University; managing day-to-day logistical factors to insure Ovr Act Imagination runs smoothly.
